Moving from BC to Saskatchewan!!

Well moving day was August 28th and we left bright and early in the morning. We travelled 12 hours to Stoney Plain and spent the night at Krysta and Tyler's house. The next day we went for breakfast and then were on the road again for another 4 hours until we arrived at our new home in Goodsoil, SK!

We are living in a cabin near Lac des Isles, owned by my sister and brother-in-law (Mike's brother). It has taken us a few weeks to get settled as we get our furniture and belongings organized and do some cleaning, but when the weather is nice we have to run down to the lake and go fishing, so the settling and organizing has taken longer than expected because the weather has been beautiful!  We also have to gather wood for the winter to help keep us warm, there always seems to be something to do :)

The first week we were in SK we were invited by Max Solbrekken to attend some church meetings on the First Nations reserve at Loon Lake. We met a lot of nice people and helped to minister to them with Max. As a result it appears that we will be ministering at another First Nations reserve in the area in the near future. We are looking forward to seeing what doors the Lord will open for ministry in the province of Saskatchewan!

We are missing all of our friends that we left behind in Abbotsford but we are excited about our new community in Goodsoil. It is definitely an adjustment compared to living in the city...the biggest one being that nothing happens as fast, but that's a good thing because we are enjoying the slower pace. The hardest wait was for the internet, it took almost three weeks to get it :) Now that we have internet it will be easier to stay connected with everyone.

We will keep you posted on the adventures of Mike and Lori...

Until next time,

Lori
